16/1/09 Death Row Sold For 18 Million
Death Row Records has been sold for $18 million dollars. The Canadian company WIDEawake Entertainment Group bought the infamous label yesterday in California. WIDEawake will own Death Row's catalog of classic rap albums like Dr Dre's "The Chronic," Snoop Dogg's "Doggystyle" and 2 Pac's "All Eyez On Me."
In related news, 400 Death Row items will be will be auctioned off to the public next week. Items up for purchase include Death Row's famous electric chair, Suge Knight's cigars and humidor, Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre's "Source Awards," Tupac Shakur memorabilia, framed gold and platinum records and more.
