Lil Wayne leads this years Grammy nominations with 8 nods. Wayne's "Tha Carter III," the years top selling album, is nominated for album of the year. Wayne will compete with Jay-Z for "Best Rap Album," who was nominated six awards himself. Kanye West also received six Grammy nominations.

Other notable nominees include T.I., Andre 3000 and Nas who all received two nods while Lupe Fiasco doubled that with four nominations.
