7/11/08 Lil Wayne Attends More Court Hearings

Lil Wayne appeared in court yesterday in Arizona for a hearing relating to the felony drug and weapon charges he faces. Wayne stood in court as another date was set for the prosecutors to give their arguements to the judge. Weezy's lawyer is requesting the case be sent back to a grand jury as he says the grand jury added charges the county attorney office didn't know about. Training records for the drug sniffing dog that allerted DEA agents to search Waynes bus were requested. Wayne will be back in court on November 21st.

In related Lil Wayne legal news, Weezy is also facing drug and weapons charges in New York from an arrest back in July of last year. Weezy was arrested after he performed at the Beacon Theater and police found a .40 caliber pistol and marijuana on his tour bus. Wayne will face these charges in December.
